About Gene
Gene Landriau grew up in New York City and the environs of Elka Park in the Catskill Mountains. In his middle years he worked as an administrator for Columbia University and raised three children in the New York City suburbs while pursuing his passions of stride piano, the outdoors and family life. He retired with his wife, Elaine, to Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he took up writing and enjoyed an active social life. He continued to spend summers in the Catskills until 2010. In April, 2012, Gene passed away surrounded by family, leaving his stories and family history for the generations to follow. Gene's spirited personality will be missed by many.Subscribe to Stride Writer
